Sports are important for physical activities, health, strength, fitness and to keep people from obesity, diseases and more.
Very, and their importance is growing everyday. Kids have sports at school as part of the syllabus from a very early age (that means 3 hours a week and consists of gym and may… include football, basketball, volleyball and even swimming at the town's sports club, since most schools make special arrangements to take their students there for a special price too) and that goes on till the end of their secondary education, when they are 18 years old. Besides that, many go to their local clubs and take part in tourneys of every imaginable thing. Skating, tennis and martial arts most fashionable these days. You see many adults in clubs too, on their own or with monitors. And many people love to cycle, walk, jog or run just about everywhere. The news include a sports section 3 times a day. The country is parallized during the great soccer football matches every weekend and then there are debates -and arguments and rows too- about them on TV almost every day and several national *daily* sports newspapers (besides the sports sections in ordinary newspapers) Some daring guys even try their luck at boxing, football or baseball!
Sports are very important. Some people play sports for money and fame, but I think the true meaning is to have fun. Children join teams and make friends, and isn't that just a… great thing, to know that you have those friends to trust and to grow up with. You can also enjoy sports because you know that you are getting exercise and it feels amazing to have muscles, doesn't it? Exercise is key to a healthy life style and I think more people should realize that, even though it kills to go outside and sweat, it will pay off in the long run, so if you just take the chance, you will be proud of your work.

the sports are good to our body because most of the doctors says when you run it gives you a vitamin and to all who don't like football or soccer a tell them to play it to get… vitamins
I don't know because to me all sports is throwing a pig pelt down a large patch of grass & hitting a ball with a stick.

Sports as well as studies is better for a career because if you are good in sports you may choose a sport career or studies, you may choose a study career eg: teacher.
Well, the whole reason for sports is to get you moving and get your heart pumping. Moving and pumping blood builds muscles, which can stop arthritis and bone damage which can …come in handy when you're older. And it can also decrease the risk for obesity and heart attack. Actually, it isn't sports themselves that makes you healthy, its the moving around and activeness that's helping you build a better body.
Sports are important to exercise because it's much more enjoyable to make exercise a game or sport. Example: I love to play squash. As I play more, I improve. As I improve and… become more competitive at the higher levels, my desire to be a better player motivates me to train harder. I see better results in my squash game if I work out on weights, train my cardio system, stretch, and eat healthy. I do all these things to become a better squash player, not because it's good for me. Becoming super healthy is just a side effect of my sport motivated practices. Any exercise program has to be a sport or game that you love, that way, you will stick with it. Motivating yourself to exercise so you look good and feel healthy is not enough and that's why so many people can't stick to their exercise goals. Play a sport you love and the exercise will happen whether you like it or not!

Sports/exercising is important to everyone, not just guys. Girls need to be healthy too. Sports are important to girls because they can help burn carbohydrates, which is great… for everyone. Sports can also be a big part of a girl's life. like guys, girls also enjoy playing sports. being healthy is great, and so is being active! THAT'S why sports are important to girls.
