Stainless steel crowns click the below link
A stainless steel crown is one of the most common restorative options that is used for repairing and preserving the tooth structure after severe damage or decay.
Stainless steel crowns are safe for children and adults. If they were not safe, your dentist would not be using them.
can a stainless steel mug microwave safe
since you can use stainless steel surgical knives I think its pretty safe
Stainless steel crowns are pre-made... they aren't custom made in a lab like other crowns. Dentists have to prepare baby teeth so that the non custom made stainless steel crown will fit. When it comes to a regular crown, the tooth is prepared and then an impression is taken and a custom made crown is fabricated in a dental lab. In other words, a custom made crown will fit the prepared tooth.... but when it comes to stainless steel crowns (that are not custom made) the dentist has to prepare the tooth to fit the crown.
