ia a starfish aprey or a predator
Sharks, fish and manta rays are predators of the starfish. Larger starfish also prey on and attack smaller starfish.
both
They move slowly and envelop their prey.
Whenever they are hungry.
They move slowly and envelop their prey.
When starfish catch prey and get the shell cracked open they regergitate their stomach which releases enzymes to kill and liquify the prey. After it's liquified the starfish basically swallows its stomach along with its food.
Starfish have limbs so that they can wrap them around their prey(mostly clams, mussels, etc.) and hold onto them entil they can open the prey up and eat it.
The starfish takes care of it's young by placing it on it's back. So their prey can't get to the babys.
