Are tattoo's and body piercings frowned upon by Christians?

i guess so,look it up Many Christians know The Bible whole and dont understand the meaning. A good Christian that understands the scriptures will not discriminate to a person for their tattooes or piercings Further explanation Tattoos and piercings are more of a cultural thing today, a form of self expression. In the Old Testament, God forbid the Jews from partaking of tatooing or certain piercings, but that was because in those ancient Pagan cultures, it was a part of their pagan religious ritual. As such, God wanted His people separate from many of the customs and practices of the surrounded Pagan countries, because such things then were always associated with some form of idolatry (worship of false gods) which is one of God's most hated sins. Today, its not prominently featured as part of some pagan rites or mysticism, or worship of some false Gods, just a form of self decoration. Some people have masterpieces tattooed on them, really ornate, impressive! As Christians we are not to judge physical things like that, that are as I said more a result of current culture trends which are always changing It simply isn't an issue, many Christians likewise have many tattoos and body piercings and it doesn't make them less or more spiritual or in tune with God. In short, its simply not an issue. Any Christian that wants to take some legalistic approach and hold someone in contempt for such a thing, (I'm fully aware there are some knuckleheads out there who still think we live back in 1950 in the Leave it to Beaver era), but anyone who gives someone flak over that, and claims himself a Christian, only demonstrates that they are very weak in the faith, and more concerned about physical appearances than what is in someones heart.
