Only if the teacher is only eating gum and not a full meal. i mean that's why they invented something called a teachers lounge so they can eat there not in the classroom. even more so if that teacher is the kind that complains when a student leaves crumbs in the classroom.

Another perspective:

Teachers are allowed to do anything in their classroom that does not violate state or federal law, or the policies of the district. Eating is generally not covered in any of those.

As a teacher who administered the MEAP for five years, not only did I eat during the test, I brought snacks and beverages for the kids to make the environment as relaxed as possible. My goal was for the students to do the best they could, and I found the more relaxed they were, the better they performed.

Also, I had only one rule in my classroom: Respect. That extended to, if you make a mess, respect the room, the other students, me as the teacher, and the school and clean it up.

Are teachers allowed to give home work during the standard based assessment?

Whether teachers are allowed to assign homework during a standards-based assessment period can vary by school or district policy. Generally, the focus during such assessments is on evaluating student understanding of the material, and teachers might choose to avoid adding homework to minimize stress. However, some educators may still assign light or optional homework to reinforce concepts. It's best to refer to specific school guidelines for definitive answers.

Why was Jesus allowed to debate the elders when he was 12 years old when children are not allowed to speak in the temple during this time?

The temple was the place for the offering of sacrifices. Maybe you are thinking of the synagogue. Jesus was not debating, he was sitting listening to the teachers and asking them questions. Where does the Scripture say this was not allowed?

Are you allowed to have a snack break in middle school in MA?

I guess you must be, since I am in 7th grade in a MA middle school, and they let us have snack. However, we don't get a real "break", but just eat in class anytime between nine and ten. So we can take out food and eat in second and the beginning of third period. It really depends on your teacher. I've had teachers who allowed snacks and drinks as long as it wasn't disruptive, teachers who just allowed water, teachers who didn't allow anything, and teachers who gave us 5 minutes in the middle of class for a break (during a 90 minute class). There is no real "law" that i know of that prohibits teachers from giving a break to students (But that doesn't mean you're allowed to take your own break).
