They are the worlds oldest caves and are situated in Sydney and there are a wide range of tours that happen on a daily basis for all people except there are a few tours that are not suitable for young children including the "ribbon cave" and the "jubilee cave"

What do you call a person who likes to explore caves?

A person who likes to explore caves is called a "caver" - if he or she is studying caves' scientific aspects, a "speleologist". Caving is the amateur activity or sport of exploring caves. It was once known as 'spelunking' in the United States and Canada and 'potholing' (from the old Northern English term "pothole" for a cave whose entrance is a shaft open to the surface) in the United Kingdom and Ireland. A person doing this activity is now generally a Caver: Spelunker and Potholer have fallen out of use though "Pothole" survives in a few Northern English caving-club names.. Speleology is the term for the study of caves, whether by amateur or professional scientists.

Who discovers caves?

Open caves will have been known the people living around them for centuries of course, even if no-one explored them. Discovering a cave thatdoes not have an open, obvious entrance is a matter for cavers who understand caves, their geology and the signs of their possible existence behind the boulders and earth choking the entrances. Digging that choke out can be a long-time labour of love - I can tell you from personal experience! Some caves ofcourse are entered from springs, but these are a matter for the cave-diver with the specialist skills to explore them.

What is the simple subject in the sentence Several of the caves are open?

Several has to be the subject since 'of the caves' is a prepositional phrase and 'are open' is the verb.
