The Romans crated marble sculptures the same way that a sculpture is created today, by the chip and file method. Many of the same tools are also used today, although present day sculptors have power tools which the Romans did not have. The Romans crated marble sculptures the same way that a sculpture is created today, by the chip and file method. Water was used in the same way as it is used today: drinking, washing, flushing sewage, and for some manufacturing processes. The public baths, which were attended by most Romans most days, used large amounts of water.
Yes the numerals have the same values as in the times of the Romans but today they are calculated differently in the way that the Romans actually did themselves. For example today we would write out 1999 in Roman numerals as MCMXCIX but the Romans probably wrote it out simply as IMM (-1+2000 = 1999)
For the same reasons that we need to use maths today.
Ancient Romans used the baths frequently. As often as they wanted, they did have to pay, so the visits would have been limited the poorer a person was. They also had access to public fountains so they could use them for free and they did the same sort of thing. But on average a couple of times a week would have been satisfactory.
For the same reason so many need theirs today.
In Italy today they drive on the same side as the US.
For exactly the same reasons why numbers are stillimportant to us today.
