I would like to think that a series of unfortunate events are true. i love the books and i would love to know for sure that it happened]please reply.xxThis story is not true as lots of the characters, themes and the stuff that can happen are just too scary for real life the books are made to let the reader wonder if it is real or not.

The word "unfortunate" is an adjective and does not have a plural form. Adjectives in English typically do not change based on number, so "unfortunate" remains the same whether describing one person or multiple people. For example, you would say "an unfortunate event" or "unfortunate events."
