Commonwealth games are certainly a curse for the nation and particularly Delhi. Huge amount of public money has been swindled away by corrupt politicians and officials. All the roads of Delhi are in very bad condition following the rain , causing heavy traffic jams. People have horrific time travelling to their offices. The govt . instead of trying to solve the problem , exaggerated it by reserving lane for commonwealth.
The life of foreign national is guarded at all cost , but the life of common Indian citizen worth nothing to government.
The games reflects our mindset of self inflicted inferiority.
The government should first strive to improve abysmally low living standard of its citizen then think of conducting games.
