Any divisions of Christianity were created by men and usually the result of self serving church systems. There should be no divisions in Christianity (since Christ be the head of the church). If we were to discuss two major divisions I would have to point toward Established Church Systems and Protestant Reformation the latter upon which the United States is established. (Read William Bradford)
In my opinion, I don't find it bad, or good. Denomination, i think, separates the church itself (the Christians). Some denominations teach against the Bible. As long as the church teaches only the Bible and its Truth, i wouldn't call it "bad". ----God bless!----
The church is not a building but a group of people and has been divided into the clergy and laity and now we have many divisions.
The Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church operates through 13 world divisions. These divisions are responsible for the church's administrative and organizational activities in various geographical regions, allowing for localized governance and ministry tailored to cultural contexts. Each division oversees missions, education, and support for the congregations within its territory.
There is no rule in the Church that says it is bad to shower on Good Friday. This is probably only a superstition or maybe a local custom, but it is not part of Christian beliefs.
Discipline is usually left to the discretion of the local church. Giving discipline is a tough job, and some churches do not like to enforce discipline. This was also a problem in apostolic times. (See for example 1 Corinthians 5.) Sometimes weeding out a "bad" church member is detrimental to "good" church members. (See Matthew 13 and the parables of the "Wheat and Tares" and the "Good and Bad Fish".) However, Jesus says at the end of the world the angels will separate the good from the bad.

After the problems General Hooker's divisions encountered at New Hope Church in May of 1864, he ordered a detailed examination of his 20th Corps divisions. His troops, which consisted of almost 17,000 men within three divisions were not properly aligned commensurate with their strength. After analyzing their positioning, he ordered two of his divisions to increase their frontage and the other one to shrink in the sector they were occupying.
The Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church split in 1054 due to disagreements over the authority of the Pope, theological differences, and cultural and political divisions.
I am wondering that myself. I am presuming that it can be both depending on certain factors which is why we are wondering this??
