No, Not even close. The wiring harness in the 96 is all together different then the 91.
Yes, provided the Silverado has a small block engine... they both use the 4L60E, but if the Silverado is a 454SS or some other large block model, it'll need a 4L80E transmission.
1/2 tons used the 4L60E and the 3/4 tons and up used the 4L80E in them.
4L80E---4L85E
That would be a 4L80E
That would be the 4L80E transmission.
4l80e or 4l80-e is the tranny they use and they do have to of them, one is for the speedometer gauge and one tells it when to shift
The transmission solenoid on a 1997 4l80e is located at the bottom of the valve body. If you want to get to it, you would have to remove the tranny pan.
no I tried and the speed sensors and circuitry are not compatable different control units
That would be the 4L80E transmission.
NOTHING UNDER THE YEAR 2000 WILL EVEN BOLT UP. 1/2 tons MUST have the 4L60E in it. NO way around it. The 3/4 tons MUST have the 4L80E in them.
That would be the 4L80E transmission
likely a 4l60e or 4l80e
