No I can't see them splitting up any time soon. Currently Damon is working on another album with Oxford while Jamie has been drawing for various shows. Everybody has just been taking a break at the moment. Rumour has it that another Gorillaz album will in progress in October 2011

Not this year unfortunately, :) though they did release the song 'Do Ya Thing' in February 23rd this year, and are on hiatus at the moment so stay hopeful- they shall be back another year with another fantabulous album!
