That's basically the same Kronus (or Kronos) that appears in ancient Greek mythology - the boss of the Titans, and father of several of the Greek gods.

They aren't exactly the same, but neither are they completely different. There are similarities with certain Greek/Roman god and Jesus. However, those similarities and difference would take forever to explain.
