For the most part, The Bible forms the basis of law in the Western world. The majority of the laws are biblical based, especially those that concern how people treat one another.

But all other Commands of God are still required by all to adhere to. Christ fulfilled the Law fully - the letter and the spirit of it. If we are to be His disciples (meaning imitators of Christ) we too must follow the Law.
