I think Wes Craven did a wonderful job with New Nightmare. You can never compare a horror movie (or any movie) of a certain date, to the way films are made with today's abilities and technology. When people make movies, they make them to the best of their abilities, and budget, at the time. It should be appreciated for what it is, not depreciated when comparing it to other more current films.
