Several methods of identifying prisoners were used in concentration camps, with tattoos only being used at Auschwitz. There was no set name for these tattoos.

Prisoners had their ID number applied as a tatoo. I don't know exactly what they used to do this as they seemed to be a little crude.

The numbers were tattooed. The only camp where this was done was the Auschwitz cmplex of camps.
