=Yes there are dsiadvantages to a truss bridge, because for all we know all truss bridges are not strong as others are and we can or you can find that out by building your own truss bridge and put a coulpe of things on it to measure it to see if some are strong and some are not.=
The disadvantage is that there is too much deflection for long spans.
A suspension bridge or cable-stayed bridge works better in this case.
the bars on the bottom of the bridge can give and it would cause the bridge to fall ,but since they are so high up it would be the safest plac in a case of a flood
very cheap and easy to build, yet does not carry a lot of weight.
it carries people across
it is a hybrid between an arch bridge and truss bridge. so it is classified as an arch and truss
Glenville Truss Bridge was created in 1885.
Warren truss bridge
A truss is a diagonal brace which provides structural support for a bridge span by extending between a vertical member and the bridge span.

The type of bridges are: -truss bridge -arch bridge (truss arch bridge) -suspension bridge (suspension truss bridge) -cantilever bridge
The pratt truss is efficient because the longer diagonal members are in tension and the shorter vertical members are in compression. Members in tension fail because the member is stressed to materials maximum stress capacity. Members in compression usually fail through buckling because of instability long before the materials maximum stress is reached.
Ouaquaga Lenticular Truss Bridge was created in 1888.
Fink-Type Truss Bridge was created in 1857.
