The International Astronomical Union currently recognizes 88 constellations. No more can be created (on Earth) without splitting one or more existing ones. This is not expected to happen, though there is some precedent: the large constellation Argo Navis was broken into three smaller ones (Puppis, Carina, and Vela) in the mid-1700s.
"Constellations" translates to "constellations" in French.

Constellations are patterns of stars, so stars cannot be constellations.
The constellations that follow the path of the sun in the sky are known as the zodiac constellations. There are 12 zodiac constellations that the sun passes through during the year as seen from Earth. These constellations form the basis of the zodiac signs used in astrology.
No one exactly knows what are constellations for.
The Constellations was created in 2008.
