What are some of J.R.R Tolkien's books or poems?

Tolkien's most famous work is The Lord of the Ringstrilogy. Slightly less famous, but in the same setting are The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. They all happen in the same fictional world. Other books include Farmer Giles of Ham, Roverandom, Smith of Wootton Major, Leaf by Niggle, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, and many others. The Adventures of T. B. is a collection of poems, some silly, some more serious and thought-provoking, that are distantly related to the world of the famous trilogy. One of his non-Rings-related poems is The Sea Bell, a beautiful creation filled with sorrow and loss.

What is an interesting book by J.R.R Tolkien?

I assume you are inquiring after works not related to Middle-Earth. Unfortunately, Tolkien has written very little else. The non-Middle-Earth related stuff that I enjoyed by him were Farmer Giles of Ham, Smith of Wootton Major, Leaf By Niggle, his essay On Fairy Stories, his translation of the middle english poems Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Pearl, and Sir Orfeo; his translations of the norse epic Sigurd and Gudrun, and some other academic works. There are a total of seven books written by Tolkien relating to Middle-Earth. They are the Hobbit, Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, Return of the Jedi, Adventures of Tom Bombadil, Silmarillion, and Tale of the Children of Hurin (which in reality is just an expansion of a shorter chapter in the silmarillion). Just some examples.

What topics did J.R.R Tolkien write about?

Tolkien's most famous writings are about a fiction world, set in Middle Earth. They include The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, and, to some extent, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil. This world is populated by races that we call imaginary: Elves, Dwarves, orcs, and others. There are Men there as well. His other stories include Farmer Giles of Ham, Roverandom, Smith of Wootton Major, Leaf by Niggle, and many others. They are stories set in more modern worlds, but also deeper and more magical than we see ours. And yet it is our world, just with a touch of imagination to it.In addition, being a professor in Oxford University, he wrote more serious things related to his studies.
