Sonic Adventure and Sonic adventure 2 were based off the anime series "Sonic X". As for sequels, Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 is very similar in gameplay. And finally I wouldn't expect a multiplayer function any time soon, those games are just too old, and judging by the recent Sonic games I'd say that SEGA have moved away from the "adventure" style and have focused on a more basic style (sonic colors and sonic generations are a good example of this new game style). So I wouldn't expect a "Sonic Adventure 3" or a multiplayer function any time soon.
