The majority of energy drinks contain certain chemicals that are supposed to help you both mentally and physically, such as caffiene and vitamins, but the quantities and quality of these chemicals in drinks aren't regulated and could affect you negatively (caffiene can keep you awake at night or give you "jitters"; vitamins can add up from multiple sources and ultimately be too much for your system to handle). The only websites I could find that talk about a "healthy" energy drink were actual drink company sites that were selling their product. The Mayo Clinic website and wikkipedia stated that energy drinks had many negative effects and dangers.
Healthy drinks are the ones that are natural, not man-made. Water is the best, followed by fruit juice. Then you have UNSWEETENED tea or coffee. The LEAST healthy drinks are sodas and energy drinks.

Energy drinks speed up the heartrate so could cause a heartattack. I wouldn't worry too much about it though, they wouldn't be sold if they were dangerous. Take them in moderation, consult a doctor if you have an existing heart problem that you are worried about. I have heard that if you mix energy drinks with alcohol it can be dangerous, though never actually heard of any evidence for this.
Energy Drinks are not healthy any athelete will tell you that! They give you less energy then you think the best drinks to have before a big game or something that involves sports is Gatorade, Water, and Powerade, sometimes even Vitamin Water. There is something called pre-gaming which means have lots of fluids the day and night before the big day and you will do great and not have any cramps!!! GOOD LUCK AND IM GLAD I COULD HELP!!!

No. Amphetamines are controlled substances and can only be distributed with a prescription from a doctor. It has been known in other countries with different laws, that amphetamines are contained within energy drinks. An example country which I know this is true, is Thailand.

People Say That Energy Drinks Make You Hyper Or Lively, I Think That Is Just Wrong Because They Have Just Got That Idea In Their Heads Because Of The Name Of The Drink ''ENERGY Drink''. I Always Drink Energy Drinks But I Dont Seem Any Different Or More Intellegent.
