good sniping spots depend on the situation. Find a building with a second floor and make yourself barely visible, but still with a good view of combat. Make sure to put a claymore in the doorway, or wherever in the building you think a person would have to go to find you. Also make sure you blend in to the environment, it surprisingly works really well, much better than with AI enemies and better than you think.
