not yet....but there will be!
The mayor of Miami is a real-life elected official who oversees the administration of the city, while the mayor in the book "City of Ember" is a fictional character who governs the underground city of Ember. The mayor of Miami has real-world responsibilities and is accountable to the city's residents, whereas the mayor in "City of Ember" is a symbolic figure with more control and influence over the city's operations.
The story "City of Ember" is narrated in third-person omniscient point of view, where the narrator has insight into the thoughts and feelings of multiple characters. This allows for a more expansive view of the events unfolding in the story.
Everyone's opinion is different, but I happen to like it. Here is the plot: The City of Ember is an underground city that is slowly dying. It has blackouts that last longer every time one happens, and everyone starts to worry. Two friends try to find a way to save the city before the lights go out for good. If you like mystery, friendship, and adventure try them out. There are also a few more books in the series and are equally good.
Its not really about the size, its more about the force its providing. The City of Ember seemed to run on some mysterious machine that created electricity from water. In reality, its simply a hydroelectric power station. The river must have been about 3,000 gallons of water per minute. The book doesnt specify how wide the river was or anything like that but it does give a map of Ember. If im guessing correctly that's about how big the river has to be.
Well, after a movie comes out in the theaters, the director decides to put it out when it's not very popular any more, which is always about 4-5 months. The City of Ember will probably come out in February.
In the book "City of Ember," the problem is solved when the protagonists, Lina and Doon, discover a way out of the failing underground city and find their way to the surface. They share their findings with the other inhabitants, leading to a plan to escape Ember before it is too late, ultimately saving everyone from the deteriorating conditions of the city.
The foil character in "City of Ember" is Lina Mayfleet. She contrasts with the main character, Doon Harrow, as she is more optimistic and impulsive, while Doon is practical and methodical. Their differences often lead to conflict but ultimately help them work together to solve problems.
Well yes movies have become more and more violent over the decades, originally films were silent and more slapstick violence and then it became more shootouts and then you jump to the 1980's and movies like Alien and Terminator and now you look at movies like Saw and Hostel and you realize a trend.
Pregnant ember tetras will appear rounder and have a more swollen belly compared to their non-pregnant counterparts. They may also exhibit changes in behavior, such as seeking out secluded areas to deposit their eggs.
Movies are good. They are different. The book would be more interesting. But, I like movies. They are much are much faster.
There are four books total. The first, entitled The City of Ember, was released in 2004. The second, entitled The People of Sparks, was released in 2006.
