Yes. As with most places, there are occasional tornadoes, though they are rare. Since parts of Oregon are mountainous and the climate is fairly moist, some of the valleys are prone to flooding. Forest fires can occur as well. The state is also home to several volcanoes, though none have erupted in recent years. Oregon did feel some effects from the 1980 eruption of Mount St Helens in Washington. The Cascadia Subduction Zone off the coast of Oregon, which is responsible for the formation of the volcanoes, will occassionally produce major earthquakes and tsunamis. The last great earthquake and tsunami in the area was in 1700.
