Your question seems to be in error, as it is these morals that are they mechanism to control people. In example, one could say stealing is wrong. Where as a conservative Christian Might say stealing is wrong, and gambling is mutual robbery. In the first moral argument most would agree, but in the second many people would start to say that is just a mechanism for control.
(as for my own personal conviction, without that very constraint, the very fact of belief in a soveriegn Lord, I could as easily be an axe murderer, Homesexual, Junky, Conman, Burgalar just to get the experience. But by the Grace of God, I am not.)
