The physical requirements for the Roman military were minimal. First of all a soldier had to be a male and if possible six Roman feet tall. He also had to be in reasonably good physical health and mentally sound. The height requirement was often overlooked and if a man were not physically robust, the army would make him so.The physical requirements for the Roman military were minimal. Depends upon which country you are talking about. As far as I know, in the U.K there are no fitness requirements as such to join either the air cadets, army cadets or the sea cadets, however a basic standard of fitness is expected to participate in physical activities.
A high school diploma, ability to pass the physical exam and drug screening, a passing score on the ASVAB, and a clean criminal record.
