Most definitely After 4 month's I started getting unbearable extreme pain!! After sitting and arising from a sitting position I would get extreme pain when I tried to open my leg to begin to walk
The pain would ease up after walking it out But why do I have to replace pain for extreme pain ?I thought I would be pain free After my surgery
Hi, I don't know if they have been recalled yet so if you find out please let me know. My knee sucks. It hurts all the time, I get allot of fluid build up, and its so loose I can move my lower leg back and forth 3/4" and it makes a great deal of noise. I hope its recalled because if this is the best they have to offer they should stop offering it. I have had 26 surgeries now most being on my knees. 13 right and 8 left. I now have to have my left knee repaired and need to find out if there any mechanical problems associated with the Biomet Vanguard Knee.
Biomet's population is 2,007.
Biomet was created in 1977.
The ticker symbol for Biomet is BMET and it is traded on the Nasdaq.
Yes! I had a Knee replacement in Feb. 2007 and have been in pain ever since. I called the sergeon's office and they said there was no recall on Biomet replacement knees. I have gone to another orthopedic sergeon and he tells me that from X-Rays he has taken that the knee is loose in my leg. I would like to know if mine is the only case like this or if this common. Nothing. The company Biomet has created a product that becomes landfill very quickly.
I have had one for 6 years...Love it!
I have a bone growth stimulator and it's for the calcaneous but by what I've been told there is one for the ankle. Try contacting EBI BIOMET.

They have several different models, but typically the femoral component is a type of cobalt chrome, the tibial component is typically a titanium alloy with a smooth UHMWPE (polyethylene) surface for the femoral component to articulate on.
