A portion of Carlsbad Caverns in NM, and some of Lehman Cave near Baker, NV, one tour in Blanchard Springs Cave in Arkansas, Kartchner Caverns in Southern AZ, Linville Caverns in North Carolina, Jacob's Cave in Missouri...
To get Rare Pokemon is quite simple for me, for I collect rare, go to any town with like a volcano near it or underwater caverns and I guaranty there will be a rare nearby
It is primarily a karst cave, i.e. formed by the dissolution of its host limestone by weakly-acid ground-water. If any of its passages still carry streams then those passages are called "active" and are still forming.
The only fast growing and non-rare plants that I know of are simple bean plants such as lima beans. You can get them at any nearby store, so they can be considered non-rare. They are fast-growing as well.
No but, a shocking discovery in 2008 led to the exploration of caverns and found lava tubes underground.
I can't speak for Carlsbad specifically but as a general rule... No you cannot touch any bats in any cave! Unless you are a genuine biologist studying the animals in a serious project. Nor should you disturb them by, e.g. shining your lamp directly at them. In the UK unauthorised, deliberate handling of any bat anywhere without appropriate permission is illegal, but like wilfully collecting stalactites, it is regarded as wrong anyway throughout the caving world. The Playboy Club Rule applies: Look, Don't Touch

Sometime within the last 11 million years according to what I could find rapidly on-line from here, in an on-line science magazine-once I'd waded through the exasperating crap Ask throws at you to reach anything useful. That 11Mya (Million years ago) mark is of regional tectonic upliftso is the boundary. The Big Room level of Carlsbad Caverns was dated radio-isotopically to just about 4Mya. If any of Carlsbad still takes a stream then that "active" series will still be developing. Ref: AAAS/Science web-site. What I found was simply an abstract. You'd have to register (subscribe?) to learn more. Or find other publications.
They can pick up endangered animals or plants, and I suppose if a rare jewel was lying around, they could pick it up.
