yes they are. in 1993 i was on a horseback ride and the 2 horses became terrified. these horses were dead broke and in their late teens. i started walking into the wind and one flushed from the brush and ran off. the horses settled down after that. Boone county

There have been reported sightings but no proof positive that there are mountain lions in Ky. If there are they may have been pets that were released. The truth is hard to come by, and the Ky Wildlife and Game Commission states that at this time they are not sure. If there are any mountain lions in Ky they would be very rare indeed.

Yes, the American Black Bear are in mostly forested areas. The highest density of Black bear is in Cherokee National Forest, Tennessee.
