Yes. Codeine and hydrocodone (Vicodin) are frequently used as a cough suppresent. Sometimes in pill form and other times in elixer (liquid form). I'm not sure about percocet(oxycodone). Check with your pharmacist. And Doctors use a opiate methadone to get people off heroin Morphine and Opium powders are used as antidiarrheals, but you need to be near death to get a doctor to give them to you

I believe you mean "Oxycodone" which is the generic name for Percocet or Tylox. My doctors know I am allergic to codeine; but subscribe Oxycodone, which has codeine, but so does percocet. I am waiting for pharmacist to call me know to let me know if it has the same amount. Percocet does not bother my stomach but Oxycodone does.
