YES - i live in Northern Thailand - near Chiangmai. My house has wide open fields to the front and forested areas leading to hills to the rear. One morning, very early, just before sunrise i watched 20-30 owls perch in trees behind my house. At sun-up they all silently took flight and headed back towards the hills - very beautiful.
