Do you mean crazy christians as in all christians or just the 'crazy' ones? I'm going to answer the latter. Although some Christians are a bit to cosy and think that if they just pray to be safe they will go through life unharmed, and although that view is wrong, God does care. And God answers their prayers, though sometimes thats 'no'. These people think that because they think that all there prayers will be answered as 'yes'. Often these Christians arnt proper Christians, or they dont quite understand right. Lately, the problems Christians in the West are having, is that they are getting to cosy. We seem to think that it will all be alright, we will always be safe. Even when our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ are suffering on the other side of the world.
