Not really; the marking is actually a behavioral/training issue. Hire an expert dog trainer who specializes in "positive training" to come over and teach you how to solve the problem. It should take about 1-2 weeks of consistent training with the trainer's instructions.
You can find those sprays in almost any store that carries dog products. It also helps to clean any spot that the dog has already urinated on with a cleanser that will dissipate the enzymes of the urine. Because if the dog can still smell the urine (even if that area smells like roses to you, after you've cleaned it, doggy noses are far more sensitive) they'll associate it with their place to urinate, over and over again. I'd also try making a schedule to let the dog out, so that it knows that it will be taken out every two hours, or something, and wont resort to urinating on your favorite rug to get your attention.
You'll be happy to know there is a homemade repellent that you can use. Check out my Squidoo page at www.squidoo/happydogforlife, It addresses the whole issue of the dog peeing in the house in the first place, how to stop him doing it and how to get rid of the odor. Let me know what you think and what your experience is.
If the dog is marking for sexual reasons, then it is possible that castration will stop him doing this. Unfortunately, many dogs initially mark for sexual (/territorial) reasons, but after a while the behaviour becomes learnt. Castration will stop innappropriate sexual behviour, but may not prevent urine marking (which may have become a learnt behaviour). Get advice from a professional behaviourist if castration doesn't help.
you can train it to pee outside

Get the dog some good chew toys. Dogs need to chew.
Have your dogs been fixed? A majority of dogs will display this behavior if they have not been neutered. I highly recommend it if there is not a reason to keep him intact.
Yes it will because when a male cat pees around the house it means he's marking his teritory from other male cats.It will work for sure. if not see a vet.
Neutering should not change his temperament at all ....but it may change a couple behaviors that many dog owners find annoying in un-neutered male dogs. Specifically it will likely stop him from "marking territory" with urine sprays and will discourage (but not eliminate) urges to roam as male dogs tend to do that in search of female dogs in heat.(But that does NOT mean your male Westie will become an "off-leash" dog .... terriers do not do well off-leash as they are far too curious and distractable as well as being very fast runners!)
Nothing to spray but you can get a collar to stop it. Their are 2 kinds the shock collar (delivers a light electric pulse when the dog barks) or the water collar (Sprays a mist of water at the dogs chin when it barks)
The best way to get your male and female chihuahuas from marking their territory is to have them neutered.
All dogs bark at strangers, there alerting you that there is someone there, soft scolding should stop it but they do it for your safety.
