Currently yes the Playstation 2 still receives new game releases although the frequency of publication has diminished. Developers continue to support the system with new release as it has the largest worldwide console install base.
They most likely will. I checked a couple of weeks ago. There were only 3 or 4 games to be released in 2011. But I just checked again, and the games to be released were not on Gamestop.com. I would imagine they have been cancelled and so the life cycle of PlayStation 2 is nearing the end.
