A:No. Miracles have never really been verified to the standard required by modern science.

Miracles that are said to have occurred during ancient times can only be proven by faith, since the only real evidence of them is in the scriptures. In modern times, when a very sick person goes into remission, as sometimes happens, the Church may ask a medical practitioner whether there is a known medical explanation for that remission. If there is no documented medical explanation for the remission, then some may say that this is evidence of a miracle.

Another Answer:

Yes, according to the Bible. The miracles of Jesus were seen by those living in His day and are recorded in the Gospel accounts for all others. Consider the huge number of followers and martyrs that came after Jesus' miraculous resurrection and ascension. Would the Apostles, disciples and others give up everything with many even dying for something not considered factual? Perhaps a few but not so many.

Consider modern science which can only 'prove' what it can witness, measure and replicate. Yet many in this world accept 'theories' of life's origins, dating methodology, and current 'thoughts' of the history of man - all these things without an eyewitness or experiment to reproduce the theory. So yes, miracles have and still do happen. Jesus told us of those who believe without seeing:

John 20:26-29New King James Version (NKJV)

26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!" 27 Then He said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing."

28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

If there is no documented medical explanation for the remission, then some may accept the remission as evidence of a miracle.
