Information systems technology is a computer science related field of coursework and shouldn't have anything to do with English classes. Unless you go to a liberal arts school that requires it, you shouldn't have to take any hours at all in English.
English: "The information technology" means German: "Die Informationstechnik".
English is a common ground for many people across the world, not only that but a lot of the technology is INVENTED in English speaking countries.

Basic math and English courses, along with a few basic technology/computer courses, are normally the only prerequisites for information systems programs. Once in the program your courses will become more difficult and focused on your major.
