They both are mammals, and members of the cat family. Lions hunt in groups to bring down prey much larger than themselves, while most cat species will hunt alone - usually hunting prey equal or smaller than themselves. Domestic cats usually hunt mice, rats, birds, frogs and even rabbits. Human owners feed domestic cats pre-cooked meat and biscuits.
Aside from size, there isn't many differences between a cat and a lion. Both are strict carnivores, so have the same type of teeth for killing prey and eating meat, organs and bone. Both hunt in the same way: Creeping up to its prey then pouncing, holding it down with strong muscles. Both have retractable claws.
Lions are very special cats for many reasons including the fact that they have manes. Lions are also considered majestic, powerful, and courageous.
Because they are king of the jungle, they may be vicious but they are cute and so are they're cubs :)
Cats and Lions are both members of the Family Felidae. That means they are closely related, taxonomically, and evolved from a common ancestor. Both cats and lions have retractable claws, and a similar skeletal build, and they are obligate carnivores (this means they cannot digest plant matter, and need nutrients found only in meat, so unlike dogs, cats cannot thrive on a formulated vegetarian diet). Both male lions and male cats mark their territory by spraying urine, and by sharpening their claws on trees (they have scent glands between their toes).
While alike in many ways, cats and lions are not members of the same genus. Lions are 'big cats', part of genus Panthera. They are the only truly social cats, and they do not purr. They may chuff on occasion. They also roar.
House cats are members of genus Felis, and are 'small cats'. They are not social, although domesticated house cats are much moreso than their wild ancestors. They purr and meow, but do not roar or chuff.
There is nodifference. Lions are just another mammal they eat sleep and play. BTW Other people will give you a diffrent answer so don't be surprised if u get anova answer completely different

That question is incredibly generalised. It doesn't really make any sense, as all animals are different from each other in some way, and similar in others. It would make more sense if you were comparing lions to a specific animal, like a raven. Your question puts forward the assumption that lions are somehow totally and completely different from the rest of the Animal Kingdom, when they are most certainly not. Lions are somewhat similar to the domestic cat, but are totally different from the goldfish. In order to compare one type of animal to another, try and make a list of the characteristics of the first, and compare it to the second. For example, what they eat, their natural habitat, their appearance, and so on.
Yes, tigers are a different species than other big cats. They are mostly all related under the genus Panthera.
lions are the only cats that live together in a pride all the others live and hunt alone

If the person cares for lions or have a some sort of belief in them then yes. Example: a person has a religion involving lions [for example] then lions would be special to them. Or, if someone likes lions or big cats I suppose a lion would be special to them. Or if you had a pet lion!
