Varicose veins can develop in the deep veins also. Varicose veins in the superficial veins are called primary varicosities, while varicose veins in the deep veins are called secondary varicosities.

Yes. It is treatable. Depending on the extent of it. If it's mild or for prevention of varicose veins, you can do the following: * Wear pressure/surgical sockings or stockings * Consume Hoarse Chestnuts supplements (available from GNC) If the varicose veins is very painful and extent of condition is quite big, you may require surgery, after surgery it will take you at least a week before you can walk.
