Yes!

There are 81 volcanic cones in New Zealand, of which 26 are active.

There are no active volcanoes in the South Island but there are the volcanic harbours of Lyttleton, Akaroa and Port Chalmers.

The largest volcano is Mount Ruapehu in the North Island which stands at 2797 meters.
