Hell no! prepackaged ones have been cooked, then frozen. Fresh ones taste a lot better because your not re-cooking them. Something fresh is always better than something prepackaged

What makes a waffle a belgin waffle?

well, American waffles are usually topped with surup, peaunut butter, strawberries, (whatever you use) and my friend is belgium and makes these waffles, (vanilla waffles) that originate from belgium, and they're kind of like a bread thing you don't have to put anything on them and they don't even have to be hot. well anyways, they're preety good. i hope that answers your question?...No. If by 'a waffle' you mean what you can buy at your local American grocery store in the frozen section, then, a lot. Waffles originated in Belgium, where they are still popularly sold - and eaten - today. They can be store bought in plastic wraps or fresh and hot from numerous 'waffle stands' that line busy shopping streets. Belgian waffles are viewed more as a snack or sugary treat. There are also 2 different types of Belgian waffles - Liege waffles (more sugary and common) and Brussels waffles. It is not typical for waffles to be eaten for breakfast in Belgium (unless you have really indulgent parents).

Waffles in Belgium?

A Belgian waffle is a type of waffle identified by its larger size, lighter batter and higher grid pattern which forms deep pockets and has larger squares. In Belgium, there are a number of different types of waffle, including the Brussels waffle, the Liège waffle and the stroopwafel; what is known in North America as a "Belgian waffle" is most similar to the Brussels waffle. As opposed to a traditional waffle, the Belgian waffle attributes its height to the use of yeast batter instead of a pancake batter. They are often eaten as a breakfast food. In North America, they are usually served with butter (or margarine) and maple syrup or with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit (such as strawberries) as a dessert. Isnot and Willsnot likes Waffles! :D <3

What ingredients go into making Belgian Waffles?

The ingredients that go into making Belgian Waffles are water, sugar, flour, yeast, milk, butter, and eggs. You can also add spices and other flavorings to make them special. If you whip the egg whites before you put them in, the waffles become very light.

How do you make waffles?

Original:Buy Bisquick mix and follow directions on back for waffle batter. Bisquick is as close to handmade as you can get without completely making them from scratch. Bisquick is just the dry ingredients already mixed together for you. Anyway, after you make the batter, you pour it in the greased waffle iron (you need a waffle iron to make waffles) and just pour enough to cover the iron (knowing exactly how much will come with practice). Then, depending on how hot your particular waffle iron is it will take at least 3-4 minutes and DO NOT open too soon or you will mess up your waffle. The waffle should be golden brown and there should be no raw batter. Then add whatever toppings you want and enjoy! Edit: GET A WAFFLE IRON !!!!!!! 2nd Edit: Homemade Waffle Recipe: 1 3/4 cups All-purpose Flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 3 egg yolks, beaten well 3 egg whites, beaten until stiff 1 1/2 cups buttermilk 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted In large bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Fold in beaten egg yolks, stiff egg whites, buttermilk, and vanilla. Once combined, add melted butter and stir. Do not over-mix. Preheat waffle iron. Pour batter into waffle iron, and cook until golden brown. Serve with favorite toppings (warm syrup, butter, fresh fruit, powdered sugar, etc...)
