Since whales are killed in whaling, I'd Think it'd be pretty obvious that whales are affected by whaling.
If you mean whales, they die painfully.
Whaling affects the population of whales, and in great numbers.
Over 400 different whales are hunted each year due to whaling.

The whaling industry was very similar to modern fishing industries. The whalers would go out on boats and hunt whales. They would catch the whales, process the meat and also the oil from the whales which was used as a heating oil and such. They would then return to port and sell the meat and oil the markets and such.
America is against whaling. They almost put whales out of the ocean for good when they did do whaling. They wanted their blubber for oil.
the effects of whaling were mostly good but there was a swift lost of whales.
By poaching, or by whaling, if that's what people call for "poaching whales".
