Are worms smart enough to run from birds?

First of all worms dont run they wiggle or dig.

And by the time that A worm would know that it was bieng attacked is when the bird is tuging it out of the ground because the worms are usualy in the ground unless it rains really hard for a long periode of time, so they have no use of vision, so they would not know until it was too late. But if the bird had dropped the worm it would try to dig and hide in the ground.
