Lab reports are written in order to ensure consistency and a standard if the experiments or processes in the lab are to be repeated, as well such records have a greater ability to lead to other infrences and modifications on what is in said reports. It works similar to records of old court rulings and how lawyers will often use these as reference in order to aid an argument or infrence, but with scientific hypothesis, evidence and theory.
Yes
Contaminating or cross-contaminating any evidence being handled in that lab. Additionally: Once defense attorneys get word that eating in the lab is allowed they will use that infomration to sow doubt in jury's minds and call into question EVERY single result ever produced by that lab, now and in the future.
I think not, because it is not allowed.
^ You have one right there.
I will file those reports for you.
As far as I know, yes you can use "they" in a lab report. As long as words like "I", "we", "us", etc. aren't used then you are good to go. You always have to use third person when doing a lab report to make sure you don't input personal opinions.___Lab reports are expressed as far as possible in the passive - was placed, was heated, was dissolved. There should be no need to use they.
Many scientists use Centigrade in the lab.
The chemist worked for a major lab.
NO!!! Use the word 'they' or better still 'it'.
I wanted desperately to have a cell phone, but I was not allowed...
