In the general sense, you aren't, but in a scientific sense, as you are holding the bucket, then you are engaged in work. So it depends on what perspective you are asking from.
No, you are not doing work in the physics sense while standing still and holding the heavy iron doorstop. Work is defined as the force applied to an object times the distance over which that force is applied. Since there is no movement involved while you are holding the doorstop stationary, no work is being done according to the scientific definition.
Need more info. What are you doing with the buckets?
No, work is a transfer of energy since the boy is just holding the book he is not doing work if he were to slide the book or throw the book for example he would be transferring energy in result "doing work".
There are still some people that are doing the ice bucket challenge for ALS. It is not as popular as it was 2 weeks ago.
A handstand is the act of standing on your hands with the rest of your body in the air. Your body, from wrists to feet, should be straight when you're doing a handstand.
I would try first grow him accustomed to the bucket being around. Try playing the 'friendly game' and rubbing the bucket all over him. Then give him a treat, then bring your hand closer to the bucket, and when he moves his nose closer to the bucket give him another one and then put the other treats in the bucket. Try doing this a few times and he should grow used to having the bucket their and he'll learn that the bucket is a source of food and treats.
You are idle.
