It mostly depends on either how good you can control the car BEFORE the accident or how thick the layer of well..... metal on your car and how high it is, like if you hit a Hummer H2 it's like hitting a Half-track (army vechicle) it also depends on how big the car hitting you is because if you are in a tiny car and a Hummer H2 hits you with the speed of let's say 60km/h well you are a pancake..... so you really need to pick a very manouverable car instead of a Truck because if you can avoid the accident and like the car you are picking then take it because some Big cars are very unmanouverable like a tanker those are hard to drive and manouver
That (van safer than a car) depends on the car and the van. Small cars are definitely NOT safer. Large cars are probably safer, vans are top heavy and so are less stable in cornering. Vans also have a large surface area which high crosswinds, air from passing large trucks (18 wheelers), can push the van into possible unstable conditions.
it is thicker
Because it hold us back when your about to get in a accident
More space and conviniant
Yes. New technology is used to create more efficient airbags, brakes, better car crumple to reduce the stopping force of the car in an accident, etc.
In relative terms, less safer than if you are in a car, but more safer than if you are in a plane, or another but smaller boat on the ocean.
Usually they are, because there is more material in between you and whatever hits you. also adding a roll cage to the car will help your car be more safer than usually.
Has this car been in an accident?
The small car accident was an incident, and no one was hurt.
A heavier car has more inertia, resistance to a change in motion, than a lighter vehicle. Therefore in the event of a crash the lighter vehicle will have a greater change in motion relative to the heavier vehicle; the less the change in motion, the safer.
Statistically plane travel is safer.
