I live in Texas, and I wanted Doc marten boots too. Just today I went to the mall and got them. I know for sure that Journeys ha them, so that's where you can get them, or order online. Goodluck

BUNDLE UP! Girls) Wear a sweater/sweatshirt with a north face fleece on top with jeans and ugg boots. Boys) Under armour shirt with jeans/sweatpants with sneakers with high socks. ( boots if that is your style too)
If your legs are too thin to wear boots, you simply have not found a place that sells thin boots. I have extremely wide feet. I have extremely wide feet. I have found one mail order place in the entire United States that sells boots wide enough to fit me. Some place will have them. I found a place with extremely wide shoes and they told me where to find even wider shoes. Try the opposite tack.
Guys do wear pointy shoes. There called cowboy boots. Any other type of pointy shoe would be considered too gay.

I have Burton moto boots and they are the same size as my shoe size and fit well, however i was disapointed in them because they do not take much to wear them out. A bunch of my friends also have them and they wore out too so if you are going to do serious riding i recommend not going with Burton boots seeing as they wear out easily but they do fit very well in my opinion.

Once your feet get use to the feel of ski boots and you are use to the weight they can be worn for longer periods of time without any problems. Make sure you wear a pair that fits you comfortably. Nothing too big or too small.
Personally I would go for converse, but boots or sometimes high tops work well too.
