Arens was the God of War.

Ares was respected by the other gods for is skill on the battle field but was generally hated because of his attitude except by Aphrodite cheated on her husband with him. Zeus often called Ares an embarrassment to him because Ares was often out witted by mortals.

Ares was not liked by many other gods because he was blood thirsty.
