Did anyone actually try if US PS3 games play on EU PS3 systems If so which title was it?
All PS3 consoles are region free for PS3 games. The trouble will only start if you try to use UK DLC for a US game, and vice versa. DLC (downloadable content) from the playstation network is almost ALWAYS region locked. Eg, you cannot use USA DLC for High Velocity Bowling with a UK psn bought version of the game. Also, beware that PS2 and PS1 games remain region locked. Eg, you cannot play an American version of the PS2 title Final Fantasy X on a UK or EU PlayStation 3. If you should need proof, look at my trophies. I have platinum for the EU game Sonics Ultimate MegaDrive Collection, and platinum on Genesis Ultimate collection, the same game but from the USA
