As you move down in groups there is an extra electron orbital for each group moved down so in turn it is bigger.

As you move from left to right in a period, the amount of protons increases which in turn increases the magnetic pulling on the electrons (protons are positive which attract negatively charged electrons) which contracts the molecule. Since all of the molecules in the same period have the same number of electron orbitals, they will gradually be smaller in atomic size.

What is the noble gas with lowest atomic mass?

Atomic mass increases from top to bottom and left to right on the periodic table. In each row, the noble gasses have the highest atomic mass. As you travel down that column, also called a group or family, the noble gasses increase in atomic mass. The naturally occurring noble gas with the highest atomic mass is Radon (Rn; atomic mass = 211.4 amu). In 2002, the unstable element Ununoctium was synthesized, and although it is a member of group 18, it was later determined to be a solid at room temperature, so it is not classified as a noble gas.

Which atom or ion in each pair has the larger ionization energy Cl or P?

Chlorine, Cl. Elements with the most ionization energy are located at the top right corner of the periodic table. As you travel down a period the ionization energy increases, whereas travelling down a group the ionization energy decreases.

If the wavelength of light increases the frequency?

As the wavelength increases, frequency decreases. A wavelength is the distance from, say, a crest to a crest, or perhaps a trough to a trough. Frequency is essentially how many waves or how many cycles of a wave there are per unit of time, and we usually apply the term cycles per second or Hertz (which means cycles per second) to it.Wavelength is the physical distance the wave will travel as a single cycle of that wave occurs. And wavelength is a function of both frequency and of the speed of propagation of that wave. In any case, a longer wavelength is associated with a lower frequency. Increasing (lengthening) the wavelength decreases the frequency.

What increases when sound wave travel in solid from gas medium frequency or wavelength?

Velocity increases when sound waves travel from gas medium to solid medium. As velocity = frequency * wave length and the frequency does not change, v is directly proportional to the wave length... Hence the wavelength increases.

What is A wave that is a combination of longitude and transverse wave?

The combination of a transverse waves and a longitudinal waves produce surface waves. The waves found in water are a good example. When a wave moves through the waver, particles travel in clockwise circles, and the radius of the circles decreases as the depth into the water increases.

it increases: for the atomic number indicates the number of protons and neutrons in the atom; these are the weight carrying particles

How does the economy affect travel?

Higher income increases travel. Higher prices for gas and vehicles reduces travel. Higher prices for inner city apartments increases travel because it induces people to live far away from work. Government subsidies for travel tickets increase travel. Lack of border controls, visa requirements and tariffs increase international travel. Safer means of transportation increases travel. Living on the country side rather than in the city increases travel. Effective marketing of travel increases travel. Effective marketing of products and services competing with travel reduces travel. International differences in law (e.g. legality of prostitution and drugs) increases travel. War increases travel. Good infrastructure increases travel. Economic inequality in a geographical sense increases travel.

Is an object in travel more dense than when stationary?

Gee whiz, I guess it would be. I never thought of that. When an object is moving, its length in the direction of motion decreases ... which decreases its volume ... and its mass increases. So its relativistic mass/relativistic volume is greater than its rest-mass/rest-volume .

What happened to distance if time decreases?

distance=velocity X time so,if time decreases distance also decreases. If we think in a general way,if we have more time,we can travel more distance. If we have less time, then we'll be able to travel less distance/

Bernoulli's principle examples?

An airplane wing. The top is curved, so the air traveling over the top of the wing needs to travel faster than the air going along the bottom. As the velocity of air increases the pressure decreases.
