The part of the mass where the faithful become united as the Body of Christ on Earth is during the reception of Holy Communion, when the bread and wine are consecrated and transformed into the body and blood of Christ. Through this sacrament, the faithful participate in the Eucharistic meal and are spiritually nourished and united with Christ and one another.
The true church is called the "body of Christ". Christ is the Head and the church is the body.
They are in communion because Christ is the head of his church while the church his body. The spouse of Christ is the church.
I AM THE LIVING BREAD COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN THE ONE WHO EATS MY BODY AND DRINKS MY BLOOD SACRAMENTALLY ABIDES IN ME AND I IN THAT PERSON... WE BECOME THE BODY AND BLOOK OF CHRIST WHEN WE BELIEVE IN THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION AND RECEIVE IT IT GOOD FAITH. WE BECOME THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST WHEN WE SHARE CHRIST'S LOVE WITH OTHERS, ESPECIALLY THE POOR. WE BECOME THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST WHEN WE FORGIVE FROM THE HEART AND SHARE THIS FORGIVENESS WITH OTHERS, ESPECIALLY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Liturgy of the Eucharist
As Christ is a resurrected being, which means He has a body of flesh and bones, His bones are no longer upon the earth.
You go to receive the Eucharist, which was originally ordinary bread but is now (after the consecration) the body of Christ. We receive this and are then united with Christ through this. It still looks and taste like bread, yet it is the Body of Jesus.
The Church is body of Christ. It is universal that is both in heaven and on earth.
because, his body on earth was just as ours are. simply human, but he layed down that body for our sins and was resurrected. that is why it is called his glorified body
Yes. "Christ is the head of the church." (Ephesians 5:23) "And he is the head of the body, the church." (Colossians 1:18) "Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ." (Ephesians 4:15)
St. Regina was not canonized. She was proclaimed a saint by early Christians because of her martyrdom. The canonization process did not come into existence until the 12th century. In the primitive Church, martyrs were immediately recognized as witnessing to the perfection of Christian life on earth, having shown the ultimate proof of their love for Christ by the offering of their lives. By the sacrifice of their lives for Christ, they attained Heaven in eternal glory and were indissolubly united to the Lord, the Head of the Mystical Body.
Of course not, why would it be? The SEC is a department of the United States government charged with enforcing laws in regard to commerce. The Catholic Church is nearly 1,800 years older than the United States and is a world-wide corporate Body of Jesus Christ on earth to preach the Gospel.
